The 45th Illinois/5th Georgia is fortunate to have living historians who offer the civilian point of view. While some believe that civilians are anachronistic at events, we beg to differ. The American Civil War impacted everyone, soldier and civilian alike. Our civilians portray washer women, nurses, cooks and fine ladies. All present a unique perspective on this era.
